Testing method of fuel pump performance
Some hard faults (such as failure to work, etc.) of automobile fuel pumps are easier to judge, but some intermittent soft faults are difficult to judge. In this regard, the method of detecting the operating current of the fuel pump by the automobile digital multimeter can be used to judge its performance, and the specific method is as follows.
(1) Put the automobile digital multimeter in the current block, press the function key (SELECT) to adjust to the direct current (DC) block, and then connect the two meter pens in series to the connection line of the tested fuel pump.
(2) Start the engine and press the dynamic recording key (MAX/MIN) of the automobile digital multimeter when the fuel pump is working, and the maximum and minimum currents of the fuel pump can be automatically recorded when the fuel pump is working. By comparing the detected data with the normal value, the cause of the failure can be judged.
